-One Piece Breakdown Below-

Pardon me for my lateness because I know I said I’d have it out this evening. That is until I got sidetracked but no worries though because it’s coming right now…(that’s what she said )! This Breakdown might be relatively longer than the usual ones because I have a lot on my mind after reading this chapter. (And no I couldn’t resist the joke!)

Here’s this weeks AMV! Another one from JuniZoroFan who’s account will be deleted soon. Something about copyright on AMV’s and whatnot. This is more of an emotional one so enjoy this while you can. Funny thing is Brook’s not in this one and besides Robin he’s probably lost the most. Well it couldn’t be helped since he wasn’t part of the crew by the time this vid was made.

GAHHHHH!!!! My eyes are bleeding out profusely!!! *_* And to make things worse they didn't even bother to shave!

The front cover says it all about what has happened to Sanji. Sanji has betrayed us but more importantly he’s given up on himself. He’s turned into an OKAMA!!! WTF, how does this help him out any? In actuality there are a few Straw Hat members I am a little confused about why Kuma sent them to their separate islands. First I’ll start with the obvious. Luffy was sent to an island that had great knowledge on Haki and he also experienced and used Haki there. Nami was sent to a sky island dealing with weather. Usopp was sent to a jungle island where he met a brave warrior and seems to be learning new things. Franky was sent to a snowy island dealing with mechanics and advanced weaponry. Robin was sent to a country that has been building a bridge for the past 700 years. It has history behind it but the head warden won’t tell her what it is and now she’s a prisoner in cuffs…again!

Now the ones I’m confused about. Brook was sent to an island with cult members practicing summonings and black magic. Chopper was sent to an island where birds rule over men…are these birds Awakened Zoan Users? Zoro was sent to a ruined kingdom where Perona has taken up residence. Last but not least there’s Sanji winding up in Kamabakka Kindom…a land full of transvestites. We know these islands will help the Straw Hat Pirates in someway I just can’t figure it out for some of them. But the question that’s been nagging me the most is did Kuma send them to specific islands on purpose? I believe so it’d be to much of a coincidence if you ask me. What do you’ll think? Oh, and feel free to post in the comment section what your take is on why the crew members arrived on their unique islands and how their separate areas will assist them in their upcoming adventures.

It seems the people who voted “Blackbeard isn’t here for Luffy he’s just here to have fun!” last week for the poll ‘What are Blackbeard’s intentions’ were most accurate, so pat yourselves on the back to a warm round of applause. You’ll were correct in saying that we KNEW Blackbeard’s goal in taking down Luffy at first was to gain the reputation suitable for the Shichibukia title. So when he took down Ace and was given the title of Shichibukai was there anymore reason to spill Luffy’s blood. Nope, and some might say he didn’t even know Luffy was in Impel Down at the time of his arrival.

DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN! I didn't see this coming... -_-

Adding on to this Blackbeard says it was fate that Ace would be beaten then captured and not Luffy. Put it this way. Ace was already on Blackbeard’s trail for the crime he committed aboard Whitebeard’s ship. Apparently it wasn’t too much of a pursuit according to Blackbeard and crew because they act like Ace could have stopped at anytime and given up on Blackbeard. But when Ace found out that Blackbeard was after his lil bro Luffy then he couldn’t possibly let him be. Not only would he be bringing shame to Whitebeard but he’d let his brother get killed. So in thanks to Ace’s stand and sacrifice against Blackbeard Luffy’s life was spared. I wonder how Luffy will take to this BS…

Jet Pistol means STFU NOOB! XD

BAM!!! JET PISTOL to the gut BITCH! Unsurprisingly Blackbeard gets up and retaliates by drawing Luffy in with his Kurouzu (Black Whirlpool) and making physical contact thus sapping all the DF ability out of Luffy and slamming him into the ground. This would explain the blood since temporarily his body isn’t made of rubber anymore at that point. As I thought Luffy doesn’t stand a chance against Blackbeard at this stage and Jimbei confirmed it for me. Not only was Blackbeard able to give Shanks those 3 scars over his eye while on Whitebeard’s ship BEFORE receiving the DF, but he now has the DF ability which he claims harnesses the very power of the devil. You don’t f**k with that and I don’t care who you are. Luffy does not need to worry about this man anyway because luckily he’s not here for a fight. I’m just glad Luffy got a VERY decent hit in but I’m afraid that’s all Blackbeard would’ve allowed him to do if the fight had continued. Blackbeard did say something about Luffy’s Haki improving though. I don’t recall Luffy doing Haki recently…was there some Haki force behind that hit he just did like when the Amazons put Haki into their arrows? Hmm…

Anyway Blackbeard isn’t here to fight but instead here as part of his plan. A plan we know nothing about at least I don’t. If you’ll know something let me in on the loop. I enjoy the exchange of words between the former Shichibukai Crocodile and the newest Shichibukai Blackbeard who took his place. I just wanted them to kill each other on the spot because that would have made my day! Before anything gets out of hand between the two though Magellan’s poisonous ass starts to arrive. In a hurry and probably fear the prisoners start head up Level 3 while Blackbeard let’s them all pass saying this “panic” helps his plan…I don’t have a clue how.

No...it's Black Betty! "whoa, black betty (bam-A-lam) whoa, black betty (bam-A-lam) Black betty had a child (bam-A-lam) The damn thing gone wild (bam-A-lam)" XD

Another Demon Guard shows up…no wait, the same Demon Guard that was already defeated shows up before Magellan. It’s the Minotaur and here we learn something very important from Crocodile of all people. These Demon Guards are Awakened Zoan Users and in the comment section Captnmexico commented weeks beforehand that Chopper’s monstrous form may be a demon laying inside of him. Seems he was correct. Zoan Users seem to have an inner demon in them that can be awakened which makes them stronger with insane healing capabilities. I just don’t know if EVERY Zoan User can do this though.

Shiryuu: "I have now sufficiently tested and come to the conclusion that my sword does indeed still work on human flesh...now where's that damn Blackbeard? What...I'm working with him? Nooooooooo..." 0_0

While Magellan is still making his way over we find out what happened to Shiryuu. Abso-f**king-lutely nothing! In fact I think he’s not even on Level 1 anymore. He says, “You trying to bring Magellan DOWN here?” So that means he’s on one of the lower Level’s now! He’s cutting off all transmission to the outside world so that they don’t know what’s going on in Impel Down…for instance things like Blackbeard’s appearance. Think about it. Blackbeard arrives and Shiryuu is set free to take care of him. They meet up on Level 1 where they talk for a bit and the next time we see them they’ve parted ways without a scratch on their bodies. Now Blackbeard is down on Level 4 to see through a long awaited plan while Shiryuu is going around cutting off all communications to the outside world. I don’t know about you’ll but that seals the deal for me that they’re somehow working together.

Props to Blackbeard for setting One Piece's existence in stone for me...what was this supposed to be funny? Well guess what? SURPRISE!

Up on Level 2 thanks to Blackbeard’s persistence of busting down doors the escaped prisoners are free to go again. Back down on Level 4 Blackbeard gives some last words commenting on Luffy’s adventure to Sky Island. He announces quite proudly that if that existed then ONE PIECE is out there somewhere! The Age of Pirates Dreams is not at an end and then he laughs like all egotistical maniacs do. Then he announces what he plans to do…sort of. He’s here to make a grand announcement. To set the stage for an unprecedented event that will change the world in a just few hours. What the hell could they be showing that would do such a thing? Is it Ace’s execution…then they wouldn’t be in Impel Down they’d be in Marinford! Team Awesome just ignores him and heads up to Level 3 with the rest of the prisoners finally.

And this has to be Oda’s dirty mind at work. A dominatrix type like Sadi-Chan being tied up in bondages by the ultimate transvestite all the while she’s moaning “Mmmmmm, I must to be the one to dominate”…W.T.F! I mean I wasn’t the one to complain and I enjoyed the pic above…that’s why I posted it. So after they get her down Blackbeard and Magellan face off. They announce their names and swift as hell Magellan uses ‘Hydra’ poisoning Blackbeard and his entire crew. While passing up Blackbeard he says he has no time to waste with the likes of him and he thanks Hannyabal for his valiant effort. Now this is interesting. Magellan offers not only his thanks but his blessing saying Hannyabal is the only successor he has. This is to the man who always plots to overthrow Magellan so blatantly in the public which is funny as hell BTW. So what does Magellan need to do so badly that he doesn’t stay to interrogate Blackbeard? He wants Luffy and he wants him BADLY!

Ewwwwwwwwwww! That'll teach you not to have an orgy with Magellan...LOL!

So let’s review real quickly. Sanji is an Okama. Zoan Users have an Awakened State. Blackbeard isn’t here for Luffy. He’s here to reveal something that will shake the foundations of the entire world (A.K.A. he’s just having fun). Blackbeard and Shiryuu are most likely in cahoots together. Magellan might have just defeated Blackbeard’s crew (We all know this ain’t true). Ivankov just might have “surprised” Sadi-Chan! 0_0 And Magellan wants Luffy BADLY! Alright the last two were exaggerated but the revelations in this chapter are enough for me wanting to come back for more. Is Blackbeard going to recover (Yes)? Is he going to reveal his plan? Will Luffy and Magellan square off? Are Buggy and Galdino (Mr. 3 ) finally going to reach Level 1? Will Sanji come to his senses? We can only wait for these answers. Konbanwa Gozaimasu!

It’s Ero Sennin (Bryan) back in the saddle for you weekly Bleach manga breakdown. Huge thanks to Elfarren for picking up my slack the last two weeks. But, I’m back….yeah, yeah, keep it to yourself, wiseass!

Well I still think this is a pretty interesting issue this week, but so far we seem to be on target with the Toshiro fight (though I’ve got to admit that when I saw him cut in two I thought for sure Tite was going make me look foolish). So far it’s tit for tat with Harribel, Toshiro freezes her water attacks, and she liquefies his.

Of course, little Mr. Popularity has got some more tricks up his sleeve. Harribel will surely have a couple of show stoppers of her own. The conversation between the two has become conceited & trite. I doubt that Toshiro will dominate from here on out, but I am confident that in the end victory will be his. I still think that the main fight for Toshiro is with Gin, so I won’t be surprised in his victory. But, it’s his modesty that is really choking me up.

Soifon is by far receiving the brunt of the abuse out of the characters in this issue, and yet she shows her willingness for further self sacrifice.  This woman is hardcore! The last girl I heard of who was this damned hard, gave birth at her prom, and severed the umbilical cord with the serrated  toilet-paper cutter, before having a dance or two (that’s hardcore I don’t care who you are). We don’t know anything about her Bankai, and I hope it isn’t one that relies on speed & close attacks, that’ll be a problem against Barragan. Unless, of course, one wants to delve into Einstein’s theories on speed and time; where she in Bankai mode can move so fast that she actually slows down time. Maybe her Bankai is a Delorean, and she just needs to go 88 mph.

Anyway, Omaeda is back to acting as his normal useless self, but has some words of concern about their ability to deal with this opponent. I know that his concerns lack any true wisdom, but it is still opening up some questions in my mind. What happens to an attack as it ages? Will a distant attack be able to hit him, or will it slow down so much that it won’t even be able to touch him? Barragan’s power is very interesting, and (the way I see it) makes for an interesting match-up with either Orihime, or Hachi (the big boned Vizard with the pink Jolly Roger for a hair cut).

Toshiro’s last attack seems to leave Harribel a bit frost bitten, and he gets ready to pull a colossal rabbit out of his hat. He doesn’t miss the opportunity to rub our face in it.

This battle is taking so long that segments of it make up their own arc, and we still haven’t seen the Vizards take the stage. Maybe the Vizards will show their faces…masks…power. Yammy’s about to go wild, and maybe, just maybe, we will finally get to see Orihime grow a pair…uh, back bone. So many others are in their own stage of battle, suffering, or have moved passed the burdens of afterlife. That it seem impossible to have the slightest clue as to how many more issues this battle is going to take. But, I can’t see something this epic continuing without serious & permanent losses to the Shinigami camp.

One Piece Breakdown For Starters

What’s up this is Shinobimadness here (Derrick) and if your like me then your just starting out on One Piece…so without any further delay im going to go ahead and introduce you to a few things before the breakdown starts

To start things off I’m gonna introduce you to a few characters and things that are mentioned a lot…
First off on the list is the main character Monkey D. Luffy

His main goal is to become the Pirate King.  To become Pirate King, you have to get to the end of Grand Line and find Gol D. Roger’s collection of treasure called One Piece. But before he can go to the Grand Line he needs a crew of around 10.

That’s One Scary Grin….Its A Good Thing He Didn’t Yell Surprise

Gold Rogers was the bravest, most powerful and famous, as well as wealthiest pirate the world had ever seen, who before he was executed by the Marines, told where One Piece was located…

That Or Be A Complete Idiot….And ‘Im Leaning Towards The Second One

Captain Shanks is Luffy’s childhood hero, of which was the reason he wanted to become a pirate, who gave him his personal treasure the straw hat Luffy wears now.  Although he is somewhat of a relaxed, carefree, and playful person he can be a serious and dangerous pirate should the need arise.

The Devil’s Fruit is a very rare and powerful fruit with a horrible taste as well as worth a lot of money (belie).  Here’s where it gets interesting…the Devil’s Fruit gives the eater/user superhuman abilities like Luffy being a Rubber man (being able to stretch any part of his body).  The only problem with the devil’s fruit is that who ever eats it can’t swim, and temporary looses their power in the process becoming a hammer in the water…

Talk About A Prime Example Of A Pushover…)

We start off these couple of chapters with Luffy already having an encounter with a small group of pirates.   With those simpleton pirates taken care of, Luffy tells Koby of his dream to be Pirate King and learns that Koby himself wants to join the Marines.  After talking to Koby, who seems to be somewhat of a major pushover, Luffy discovers that Koby doesn’t want to be a member of the crew any longer to Iron Mace Alvida, so Luffy decides to help him out by talking to the captain.  After a few words with the captain Luffy and his new friend Koby set off to look for a potential crewmate the famous pirate bounty hunter Roronoa Zoro.

Must Have Been The Shortest Conversation Yet…

Well that’s it for this first couple of chapters of One Piece breakdown but don’t worry…I’m working on the next arc which involves his next crew mate Roronoa Zoro and trust me you wont be disappointed in him.   This was my first post so I wasn’t sure what to do with it but I tried my best…don’t be afraid to say what’s on your mind in the comment section…how else am I to learn?

Main Story

East Blue Saga

• Captain Morgan Arc Part 1 Breakdown (Monkey D. Luffy becomes a pirate; Roronoa Zoro joins the crew)

Influenced by Shanks, Luffy starts his journey to become pirate king. At the beginning of his journey, he meets a boy named Koby who wants to be a Marine. They reach a town controlled by the corrupt Marine captain, Axe-Hand Morgan and there they meet bounty hunter Roronoa Zoro is being held captive for attacking Morgan’s son’s pet wolves (who were terrorizing the citizens).

• Chapters: 7 (1-7)

• Buggy the Clown Arc Breakdown (Coming Next Week…) (Nami unofficially joins)

Luffy and Zoro, who has become his first crewmember, reach a town under control by the pirate Buggy and they also meet a thief named Nami, who hates pirates.

• Captain Kuro Arc Breakdown (Coming Soon…) (Usopp joins)

After Nami forms a partnership with the two as their navigator (though she is quick to point out that she is not a crewmate), they reach an island and search for a ship to use. There, they encounter a liar named Usopp, who too has ties to Shanks’ pirate crew. When a devious plot is revealed, Usopp’s courage is put to the test and the Straw Hats have to fend off an attack of Black Cat Pirates leads by Captain Kuro.

• Baratie Arc Breakdown (Coming Soonish…) (Nami leaves; Sanji joins)

Usopp joins the crew as a sniper and the Straw Hats go to the sea restaurant known as the Baratie, in search of a cook for the ship. However, the restaurant comes under attack by the powerful Don Krieg, who has returned from the Grand Line in ruins and wants to use the Baratie to go back.

• Volumes: 4 (5-8)

• Arlong Arc Breakdown (Coming Sooner Than You Think…) (Nami officially joins)

With Sanji from the Baratie joining the crew and Nami stealing the ship, the Straw Hats follow after her to an island under the control of the fish-man pirate Arlong. Nami reveals that she is a member of the Arlong Pirates and simply helped the Straw Hats so she could take their gold later. But why would she follow a man like Arlong?

• Loguetown Arc Breakdown (Coming Eventually…)

After Nami officially joins, the crew heads to the last town before the entrance to the Grand Line, Loguetown, the place where Gold Roger was both born and executed. But not only will they have to deal with a powerful Marine captain, but also returning enemies looking for revenge. Will legend can begin?

Baroque Works Saga

• Laboon Arc Breakdown (Coming Even More Eventually…)

The crew has entered the Grand Line, but they encounter an obstacle as soon as they get in: a giant whale swallows the entire ship. Later, the crew discovers that whale, Laboon, constantly rams his head against the Red Line, in an attempt to get back to his friends. Luffy then tears the mast off of Going Merry, and slams it into Laboon’s newest scar, make him angry and fight. The two after promise to fight again, and Luffy draws the Straw Hat Pirate’s jolly roger sign (though barely recognizable) on Laboon’s head for their vow. ]

• Whiskey Peak Arc Breakdown (Coming Later…) (Vivi and Carue unofficially join)

Led by the mysterious Mr. 9 and Ms. Wednesday, the Straw Hats go to Whiskey Peak, where the townspeople immediately start a party to celebrate their arrival. But there is more to this town than there appears.

• Little Garden Arc Breakdown (Coming Even Later…)

On their mission to bring Princess Vivi to Arabasta, they land at Little Garden, which is actually a huge island that is still stuck in the prehistoric era. However, there are more than dinosaurs on this island, as the Straw Hats find out when they encounter two giants that have been locked in combat for over 100 years and four high-ranking Baroque Works members.

• Drum Island Arc Breakdown (Coming Much Later…) (Tony Tony Chopper joins)

When Nami catches a fatal illness, the crew is forced to stop at Drum Island, a kingless country that is trying to establish a new government. As they find out, due to the actions of the previous king, Wapol, there is only one doctor left–a “witch” named Dr. Kureha who lives at the top of a mountain. Luffy and Sanji must journey up the mountain, but the exiled King Wapol returns to reclaim his country.

• Arabasta Arc Breakdown (Coming Whenever It Gets Here…) (Vivi and Carue leave; Nico Robin joins)

The Straw Hats, with Kureha’s assistant, Tony Tony Chopper as a new addition, and Vivi finally arrive at Arabasta, which is on the verge of civil war. Vivi must reach the Rebel Army and tell them the real cause behind the war, but Crocodile, leader of Baroque Works and one of Shichibukai, won’t just stand by and watch.

Skypiea Saga

• Jaya Arc Breakdown (Coming Whenever You’ll Get Here…)

The crew tearfully leaves Vivi behind and continues on their journey, with Ms. Allsunday, aka Nico Robin, joining as an archaeologist. When a ship inexplicably falls from the sky and the Log Pose starts pointing up, they go to the island of Jaya for information on “Sky Island“. There, they encounter Bellamy, a pirate who is heralding a “New Age” where pirates don’t dream, and a man named Montblanc Cricket.

• Skypiea Arc Breakdown(Coming After We Eat….)

Riding the Knock-Up Stream, the crew finds themselves in the “White Sea”, a sea in the sky. However, things aren’t as peaceful as they seem, as there is a war between the Sky People and the natives who originally inhabited the Upper Yard, where the cruel God Eneru makes his home.

CP9 Saga

• Davy Back Fight Arc Breakdown (Coming When It Feels Like It…)

When the crew returns to the Blue Sea with gold and dials from Skypiea, they encounter Foxy the Silver Fox, a pirate who challenges them to a “Davy Back Fight“, a series of games where the winner takes crew mates from the loser. However, even after defeating Foxy, they encounter an enemy whom they have no hope of beating.

In search of a shipwright to join the crew, they land at the thriving metropolis of Water 7. Here, the crew falls apart as two members leave. This weeks spoilers are juicy…like an apple (sorry just finished Death Note). I tried to post something not TOO revelaing so I posted this pic. We all knew in are hearts that Shiryuu was ok right? Anyway this is a damn discussion and spoiler blog so you can’t get mad at me even if you didn’t want to see it so there. For more spoilers check out the video below. Again there’s no translation and it consists of just pics and music but it’s still aweomse nonetheless. First off I would like to make the official announcement that I will be posting the first One Piece Arc Breakdown tomorrow, so for all those who want to start reading One Piece start now. Shinobimadness will be writing the Arc Breakdowns. It’ll be good for beginners of the series to catch up together and for veterans of the series to get a quick review of things we might have forgotten.

Lol, Sanji’s back and he’s starring in his own chapter cover story “Sanji in Kamabakka Hell – Hang In There!”. Captnmexico said it best, “Looks like we won’t be seeing the crew back together if they are going to do a cover short story for everyone. Poor Sanji………hope they yelled SUPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” XD I have mixed feelings about this development in plans to cover the rest of the Straw Hat Crew. On one hand I’m disappointed Oda won’t go into more depth of each character’s adventure on their separate islands like he did for Luffy on the Amazon Island. On the other hand I know that if he did that it’d take a hell of a long time. But won’t these weekly cover stories take long as well or will he do a VERY broad summary to cover each character in their cover stories?

In Impel Down Level 1 ‘The Crimson Hell’ Blackbeard is kicking ass and taking names….like literally he does ask for Shiryuu’s name.  But that’s as far as we get because it cuts away after that…WTF! I’ll get back to that later. Meanwhile down on Level 4 Luffy and the rest of Team Awesome are trucking there way to the door to Level 3. The Gaol Guards have no hope of stopping them after the Demon Guards were one hit K.O.ed last chapter but props to them for trying. Then steps in Sadi-Chan. Mmmmm………..Sadi-Chan…….what?…….oh, sorry lost my train of thought there…now what were we talking about again? Oh yeah, Sadi-Chan……I’m taking a cold shower after this Breakdown.  Anyway Sadi-Chan steps in and whips the okama back and boy does she know how to use that whip. If I’m not mistaken it destroys part of the bridge. Holy Hell now that’s attack power! What’s the whip made out of steel?

YIPEE, CAT FIIIIGHHHHT!!! Or is it......damn you Ivankov and your gender beniding ways!

But look who steps in to battle her. It’s….a woman….it’s Ivankov! Damn, now I’m more confused than ever. Ivankov changes gender almost as much as Ranma and that’s a lot! XD After batting Luffy over Sadi-Chan’s head Ivankov turns into a woman and decides to fight her. Now this may prove to be an interesting battle. If Ivankov deemed her worthy an opponent to take on personally instead of sending Inazuma to handle her Sadi-Chan must be something…or she’s in for an ass kicking.  We can only assume that Sadi-Chan is more powerful than the Demon Guards since she commanded them and now we know she has the strength to shatter brick with the crack of a whip! She’s not to be reckoned with but she’s up against an opponent who can bat away cannon balls with the wink of an eyelash and change your gender! Don’t you dare do it Ivankov!

"YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" Aha, I knew I've seen that line somewhere before...

Who’s to stop Luffy now? Why it’s Hannyabal to the rescue! Wielding his Naginata named “Kessui” he gives a pretty speech about defending peace and justice then makes a circus act trying to take down Luffy with the guards cheering at his side. His Naginata when twirled around emits flames from its bladed tips cutting and burning at the same time. Yeah, you don’t f**k with that no matter if he sings while doing it you better be careful. Luffy gets a few burns but that’s not going to stop him of course and he beats Hannyabal down repeatedly. Luffy is here to save Ace and that’s that! Why does Hannyabal keep getting up though when he has no chance of winning and he is near death? Calling pirates scum and the reason innocent people fear for their life. I have to admit I was impressed with Hannyabal this chapter at his will and determination. He makes a good point and generally he’s right about pirates. He has the best intentions and is in all rights a “good guy” but he just doesn’t know the Straw Hat Pirates and definitely doesn’t know Straw Hat Luffy!

Blah, blah, blah...after all is said and done Luffy's counterargument = WIN. XD

Over on the other side of Level 4 Magellan has arrived outside the lift and is prepared to engage the escapees. Guess what happens next….the Goal Bazooka Unit is disappearing into….darkness? Noooooo, WTH is this? Blackbeard and his entire crew intact! I thought they were fighting Shiryuu and not one of them is hurt! So let’s talk about this for now. What happened? Was I right last week when I said in the comment section that Blackbeard and Shiryuu might be working together or was Shiryuu defeated and the battle skipped over to save some time?

Blackbeard smashes Hannyabal into the ground effectively finishing him off while saying there is no answer to “justice” or “evil” to be found. If he believes there’s no effective answer to “justice” or “evil” then what side is he fighting for? Is he a free spirit like Luffy just wanting to sail the ocean looking for adventure and ultimately One Piece? Seems he needs something to believe in…maybe even Luffy. Matter of fact there’s one thing they do both believe in…Dreams! How’s that for wishful thinking? Anyway, Jimbei and Blackbeard talk it out and Blackbeard’s name is revealed to Luffy. Luffy puts it all together and figures out that this is the man who put Ace in prison and the man who basically started it all. The chapter ends with a face off between Luffy and Blackbeard staring at each other! Oh my….the tension is so thick in there you can cut it with a flaming Naginata….oh wait, Hannyabal’s down…damn. Hmmmm….. *steals Hannyabal’s Naginata* 0_0

Lol, jkjk! XD I really enjoyed the chapter even though I’m peeved that I don’t know what happened to Shiryuu. More battles are to come next week. Sadi-Chan vs. Ivankov? Magellan vs. Luffy? Blackbeard Crew vs. Team Awesome?  *jumps around excitedly*. Still I hope the story slows down a little after they get out of Impel Down and HOPEFULLY we can get an in-depth look at the happenings of the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates. Chapter 61 Tying things up, and new beginnings

OK, let me start off by saying that Black Star is a douchebag. I know all the Black Star fans are pissed off that I just put down their beloved Black Star, but he killed one of my personal favorite characters, Mifune. We will talk about the douchbag that is Black Star a little later, so let’s jump right into this chapter of twists and turns.

We start this chapter with Giriko (the chainsaw guy) wakening up from his drug induced nap. Giriko sits down to rest after realizing how lucky he was the Thompson sisters didn’t take his kidney when he was knocked out, and that his leader, Arachne, is dead. But, then we get the big twist of this chapter: Justin Law with an evil clown friend at his side recruits Giriko to serve the kishin.

All they need now is an ice cream truck...

Then, it gets boring. Shinigami-sama lets Angela and Kim stay at Shibusen even though they are witches; then, we get to what I call the douchebag Black Star, who wants to tell Angela that he was the one who killed Mifune. I know Black Star was in a fight to the death with Mifune and that Mifune was on the wrong side…but still, the fact that Mifune was killed off by Black Star gets me angry >_<…well, all I can do now is hope Mifune comes back as a zombie like Sid.

Renee (aka Elfarren) back again this week with the Bleach breakdown, because apparently you boys just can’t get enough of me.  ^_^  Actually, it’s more along the lines of this being a recovery week for everyone else who writes for the blog, so the man behind the curtain asked me to step in for Ero again and I have happily obliged.  Shall we get started, then?

Dude, wash your feet once in a while and maybe people won't keel over dead every time you walk by.

Barragan obviously never got the memo about cleanliness being next to godliness, because the guy’s got feet so killer even the gound tries to avoid his approach.  We see here the effect his released zanpakuto form has, and it looks to me like anything that gets within a foot-wide radius of the man turns to dust in the wind faster than Kansas can can come up with another hit song.  (For those of you who didn’t get that, you’re missing out on some great classic rock.)  I started a mini debate in the comments last week about this, because it appears to me that Barragan doesn’t necessarily have to direct his zanpakuto to affect people with it, but that in essence he is his own zanpakuto and his ability raditates from him like an aura.  There were some among you who disagreed with me, so it sounds like poll time, to me ^_^

You know when Tite does a close-up of your eyeball like that it means the sh!t has officially hit the fan.

In the meantime, Soifon’s situation isn’t looking any better this week.  Barragan releases his morning breath “Death Breath” in her general direction and barely manages to hit her arm with it, which then proceeds to disintigrate while Soifon stares unbelievingly.  What she does next makes up for her inital response, though, and reminded me why I like her character so much ^_^

Because you don't get to be a captain of the Gotei 13 by being a whigny little b!tch

No hesitation, just cut the damn thing off and let’s get on with the battle already ^_^  Soifon is hardcore right here, and I abso-freaking-lutely loved seeing Omaeda’s reaction when she ordered him to cut her arm off.  If there’s ever a zombie invasion of Soul Society, you can bet your @$$ I’ll be teaming up with Soifon, because the woman knows what it takes to survive at all costs.

This dilemma presents us with an interesting situation, however, and one that I also brought up in the comments last week: how can Soifon “kill” Barragan if everything that touches him rots away and he can project his aura-like ability away from his body like this?  Even if she managed to hit him with Suzumebachi once, her zanpakuto would rot away before she’d have a chance to hit him the second time, and that’s if she could avoid Barragan projecting his deadly aura to attack her.  There’s also no telling if her zanpakuto could come back from nothingness like that.  As far as I’ve seen, zanpakuto can reform if they’re shattered, but I’m talking destroyed to the point of there being nothing to reform.  What do you think, does she have a chance?

Meanwhile, Toushirou is being as annoying as ever.  After his potential comeback last week, when we all collectively groaned that the little bastard will never die, Halibel gives him the finger and tells him to go back to Little League the only way you can make an annoying little bastard like Toushirou understand …

Who else among you cheered with me when you saw this?  ^_^  Toushirou is waaaayyyyy out of his league here, and Halibel has no reservations about letting him know just how beneath her level he really is.  As hopeful as I am that this fight will put him out of commission, though, do you really believe this is it for Toushirou?

It’s that time again so let’s get in to it. For some reason this chapter flew by pretty quick for me, a lot of action and a lot of hauling ass, so I’ll keep it shorter than usual.

As for the movie update, well, I’ve watched 7 of them so far and I agree with the folks who said it’s a ‘hit and miss’. There’s definitely movies I did like and movies I didn’t so much. Maybe I’ll do a post on all nine movies the day movie 10 comes out…we shall see. One Piece movie 10 now has a title ‘Strong World’ here’s the latest trailer.

Alright on to the breakdown.

Oh shit, I think the cloud is planning something! The sky and Ace may be in cahoots together Marines stay sharp! 0_0

We start off with Ace chained up to a chair above deck on a Marine ship as he is being transported to Marinford. He looks kinda apathetic and he looks kinda regretful, as if he’ll never be able to see the big blue ocean and white cloudy sky ever again. It’s good to know he isn’t some kind of emotionless robot who doesn’t care whether he dies or not. I’m sure he’s come to terms, but it’s good to see a little emotion in his eyes, or am I just seeing things? Tell me how Ace feels at this point.

Over in Marine HQ Son-Goku…I mean Sengoku is just getting word that neither Whitebeard or Blackbeard can be found. Maybe their off exchanging information on how to actually grow some beards in the first place…But wait, what’s this? Sengoku is then informed of an unmarked Marine vessel has just landed at Impel Down. Who can it be? IT’S BLACKBEARD AND HIS CREW!!! WTF are they doing there? Holy shit, even though I hate his character the action is about to bump to a whole new level now that another Shichibukai is here, nonetheless Blackbeard. It’s pretty obvious to me why he’s here: because he’s after Luffy, right? I also recall, though, he was after Luffy for his 100 Million Beri bounty, which would increase his reputation and qualify him for the title of Shichibukai. Now that he’s a Shichibukai, does he still want Luffy or is he there for another reason?

So after Blackbeard kicks some Gaol Guard ass, while at the same time saying he’s on their side (Hypocrite), we cut to Vice-Chief Hannyabal who is experiencing a mental breakdown over the predicaments happening all around Impel Down. No need to fear, Hannyabal…oh f**k, Chief Magellan is here. For some reason, I thought he’d be on the ship headed towards Marinford. Anyway, he took care of the rioting on Level 2 and sealed off all the exits with poison…cheating bastard, you can’t stop your enemy from escaping with your poisonous powers…well, that’s Buggy’s logic, at least…

Wow...I think she just jizzed her pants!

In a last ditch effort to stop Blackbeard’s advance, Magellan gives permission to the guards for the release of M. Bison…Shiryuu. What does Shiryuu do after he’s finally released and given back his sword? He starts slicing up guards, that’s what! Now, I don’t even know Shiryuu’s intentions. At first I thought when Luffy would get down there he would speak out and Luffy would help him escape and they’d take down Magellan together. It’s the complete opposite. Time for a new poll on Shiryuu.

Meanwhile, all over Level 4, the prisoners are running amok and the Blugori are handing out ass kickings left and right. Well, that is until Mr. Giant Winking Ugly Face steps in and trashes them. Then comes along Luffy, Crocodile, and Jimbei, and the Blugori are basically out of the picture. Then, we finally get to see the Demon Guards in action. If the Demon Guards are stronger than the minotaur Luffy, Buggy, and Galdino had to fight, then prepare for an epic battle, right? Wrong! The Demon Guards are swept aside quicker than a Trekkie at a Star Wars convention. (Sorry, had to with all that’s going on recently )

Go Team Awesome GO! 2 punches and a.....did Crocodile just Bitch Slap the Zebra? XD

Full Metal Alchemist breakdown: chapter 95 beyond the flame.

Ok, so I will start off with a short special explanation of the Full Metal Alchemist manga.  The old anime and the current manga are very different, so if you try to read the manga with knowledge based off of the anime, you will be lost.   The new Full Metal Alchemist (the dark brotherhood) anime that is currently running is going to follow the manga storyline, so if you don’t want to spoil the new anime don’t read my breakdown on the manga.  With all that said, let’s get into the breakdown, shall we?

She is just a bundle of hope and joy.

We get back to some good old action with the Armstrong siblings fighting the homunculus Sloth.  The battle between the Armstrong’s and Sloth got a little complex after the mindless dolls or zombies joined the fray.  The good looking Armstrong sister, along with the soldiers, started to fight the Zombies while the even better looking Armstrong brother used his sexy shirtless body to take down the Sloth.  The battle between Armstrong and the Sloth was a battle of the man muscles.   Armstrong was receiving what his *cough “bitch”* sister called love taps to the face and could not block due to his dislocated shoulder.  So, Armstrong came up with the plan of using his raw sexiness to incite Sloth to rub his shoulder and make it all better.

I wonder how much a happy ending will cost?

But, Sloth took it a little far and didn’t yell, “surprise!”

But now that Armstrong was back to his old self, he used his long spikes of justice to teach Sloth a lesson.

This is the power of a handlebar mustache.

Now the manga cuts to the guy in command, who orders the artillery to kill innocent civilians in an attempt to stop the main gate from falling. Then, out of nowhere, Mr. I have a chainsaw for a arm gives the evil bastard who ordered the attack a little talk to the hand action.

Damn, they just put chainsaws on everything now. Let us just hope he don't have one in that special place.

Now for the surprise: Izumi pops in to dig a tunnel all the way to the residential district. I love it when a manga has female characters that are just as competent, if not more competent, than male characters *glares at Naruto manga*

Holy shit, she looks crazy. This is one women who won't get stabbed by an EMO in a weelchair.

Ok, I know this has nothing to do with this issue of the manga, but I want to know what you people think of Van Hohenheim (Ed and Al’s dad). Do you think he is a genuine good guy, or is he just looking for a way to die?
